ME AND HER: a Memoir of Madness is shortlisted in an International writing competition
Stephanie J Hale, British literary guru, chose me from two thousand entries from around the world.
I subscribe to Stephanie’s free online Newsletter, advising writers on Publishing tips. www.richwriterpoorwriter.com
In January, I sent off a synopsis and first chapter of Me and Her hoping to win a CASH PRIZE of £500 and a years mentoring with Stephanie, a literary consultant.
Yesterday Me and Her made the HOT 100 Shortlist, Stephanie rating it Highly Recommended.
For me, this is quite an achievement and something I’m proud of.
This morning I rose at 5 am eager to check my emails to find out if I made the TOP TEN.
I stared at the computer screen, reading the names over again, bewildered that I wasn’t there.
No, I didn’t make the TOP TEN … Maybe I was number eleven!
What now?
This week Albert & Logan News print a feature about my writing journey and my co-op, Logan City Writers.
I’m hoping the News Story plus the short-listing act like twin dominoes, sparking double domino effects in the World of Books.
… Inciting a chain of events that will lead to Me and Her’s Publication.
Wow, Karen! It’s all happening for you. I’m so thrilled. Congratulations, and best of luck with your short-listing. 🙂
Thanx Amber, I was almost not going to put this Blog up. So disappointed not being in the Top Ten … But I thought Top 100 out of two thousand entries is OK too! Cheers, Karen :))
